Details

This series contains details of children who received vaccines while at Diamantina Receiving Depot and Infant’s Home and Warilda. The vaccines administered included those for poliomyelitis, diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and vaccinations for the 1968 “Hong Kong” flu pandemic which were administered to both children and staff. Information recorded includes child’s name, address, gender, age, date of vaccination, batch number for the vaccination, and the site of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd injections. This series also contains general correspondence between the Matron, the Department, parents, and foster carers confirming vaccination status of children. Some information about children discharged from the home are also included, such as who discharged to and forwarding addresses.
