Details

Town and City Mission Records are held at the Central Highlands Libraries, Ballarat Library. The records date from around 1892 to c.1974 and relate to the Town and City Mission and its activities, and include annual reports, visitor records, minutes of meetings, financial records, photographs and plans. The collection includes records of the Alexandra Babies’ Home, the Female Refuge Home, and the Ballarat Town and City Mission Rescue and Children’s Home.

Access Conditions

The Town and City Mission Records are not on the Library’s catalogue and access is ‘conditional’. Former residents (and their families) can contact Central Highlands Libraries, Ballarat Library to gain access to records.
