The Public Health Act 1929 also known by its full title ‘An Act to amend the Public Health Act 1903’ (Act no. 20 Geo. V N.39) made significant amendments to the Public Health Act 1903 (Act no. 3 Edw. VII No.37). These changes included alterations to the definition of dangerous infectious diseases, nightsoil, occupier, offal, owner, premises and stable. This amendment also included regulations around immunization and public toilets. It makes substantial changes to regulation around the keeping of animals such as pigs, the safety of buildings and access to toilets in domestic environments such as family homes. This amendment was repealed by the Public Health Act 1935 (Act no.26 Geo. V No.43) on 25 October 1935.
