The Public Charities Act 1929 also known by the full title “An Act to amend the Public Charities Act 1873” (Act no. 20 Geo. V No.30) extended the time within which a complaint could be made, and charges pressed, for failure to pay for the maintenance or other expenses of a person in an institution from 1 year to 2 years after the date payment was originally due. This legislation was repealed by Public Welfare Institutions Act 1935 (Act no. 26 Geo. V No.15) on 27 August 1935.
