The Master and Servant Act 1884 with the full title ‘An Act to further amend “The Master and Servant Act 1856” ‘(Act no. 48 Vict. No.36) repealed sections of the Master and Servant Act 1856 that allowed a warrant to be issued for a servant or apprentice the first time they ‘abandoned’ their employer. This act was repealed by Statute Law Revision Act 1934 (25 Geo. V no.78) on 31 May 1938.
