The Deserted Wives and Children Maintenance Amendment Act 1907, with the full title “An Act to further amend ‘The Deserted Wives and Children Maintenance Act 1873′”(Act no.7 Edw. VII No.22) provides guidelines on the expenses of bringing a defendant to face court over the abandonment of a wife and or children. This amendment was repealed in January 1920 by The Maintenance Act 1919 (Act no.10 Geo. V No.62).
