This State Children’s Council file contains correspondence and copies of Minutes of Council meetings relating to the establishment of the first Government run Receiving Home in Darwin. Documents on the file also concern the fire which destroyed the Fannie Bay Receiving Home in May 1957 and arrangements made for re-establishing the Home at an alternative site.
