Right to Information Act 2009, Queensland

Details

The Right to Information Act 2009 replaced the Freedom of Information Act 1992. The Act gives you the right to access documents about your personal affairs and the activities of government agencies and ministers. It also gives you the right to request that incorrect or misleading information held by an agency about you be amended or removed. However, right of access may be denied if certain documents or information about people are judged to be contrary to the public interest. This act has the full title “An Act about rights to government and other information” (Act no.13/2009).
