The Public Welfare Institutions Act 1945 also known by its full title “An Act to amend the Public Welfare Institutions Act 1935” (Act no. 9 Geo. VI No.21) explicitly states the right of the Governor to alter the name of any institution, and that despite any name changes the institution will still be governed by the Public Welfare Institutions Act 1935. This legislation was repealed by Statute Law Revision Act 1958 (Act no.36/1958) on 24 July 1958.
