Preventorium

Details

A preventorium was an institution to isolate people with tuberculosis from the rest of the population. In Australia, there was the St Joseph’s Preventorium in Western Australia which was for ‘sick and under-nourished children of families in poor circumstances, to permit them to recuperate under ideal conditions’.
