Wilson Youth Hospital, Tenth Ave, Windsor Brisbane 1971

This is a photograph of part of the Wilson Youth Hospital, taken in 1971. It shows one of the entrances to the hospital, with signs reading ‘Court entrance’ and ‘Public entrance’ on the doors. A sign reading ‘Wilson Youth Hospital’ can be seen on the front wall.

Birralee, Rockhampton

This is a photograph of Birralee Receiving and Assessment Centre at Rockhampton in 1979. It shows a wide, single-storey, white-clad building with a central bell tower.

Westbrook Training Centre

This is a photograph of Westbrook Training Centre taken in 1979. It shows what appears to be a central quadrangle with gardens and benches surrounded by three wings o the centre buildings. Silhouettes of boys can be seen in some of the windows of the training centre.

Diamantina Receiving Depot, Kedron Park Rd Wooloowin

This is a photograph showing the Diamantina Receiving Depot and Infant’s Home at Wooloowin, taken around 1910. It shows two large, raised, federation-style houses with circular garden and driveway in front.

Warilda, Brisbane (84 Kedron Park Rd, Wooloowin)

This is a photograph of the Warilda Receiving and Assessment Centre in 1979. It shows a garden with brick walls and children’s play equipment in front of a two-storey brick building with a sloping face. Walkways connecting to other parts of the centre can be seen at the back of the brick building.
