Otherway House was established by the Aboriginal Catholic Community in North Adelaide. It provided emergency and short-term accommodation for adolescent Aboriginal boys. The premises for the Home was leased from the Aboriginal Lands Trust. Otherway House was licenced by the government in 1983 but in 1984 the licence was not renewed and the Home closed. Otherway House came under scrutiny during the 2004-2008 Children in State Care Commission of Inquiry due to an allegation of abuse at the Home.
