Northern Territory Administration Act, 1910

The Northern Territory Administration Act 1910 was passed just prior to the Commonwealth assuming control of the Northern Territory. (The full name of the Act was No. 27 of 1910: An Act to provide for the Provisional Government of the Northern Territory.) The Act provided the Governor-General with the power to appoint an Administrator for the Northern Territory. The Administrator replaced the Government Resident.
