The Masters and Servants Act 1847 (10 & 11 Vic., 1847 No.9) was assented to and commenced on 23 July 1847. Full title: Ordinance Enacted by the Governor of South Australia, with the Advice and Consent of the Legislative Council thereof to Amend the Laws relating to Masters and Servants. The Act was amended by 11&12 Vic., 1848 No.8, 12&13 Vic., 1849 No.5, 15&16 Vic., 1852 No.6. It was repealed by the Masters and Servants Act 1863 on 12 November 1863.
