The Marriage Act 1929 also known by its full title “An Act to amend the ‘Marriage Act 1895′” (Act no.20 Geo V No.17) made provision for exemption from fees related to marriage under the Marriage Act 1895 at the Treasurer’s discretion. This legislation was repealed by Statute Law Revision Act 1934 (Act no. 25 Geo. V no.78) on 31 May 1938.
