This series contains correspondence sent between the superintendent/manager of the Cherbourg Aboriginal Settlement (also known as Barambah) and various government agencies, hospitals, banks, churches, individuals, organisations, and other Aboriginal Settlements/Missions. It contains 1033 files covering a wide range of matters to do with the running of the settlement. These include files relating to children, dormitories, schooling, child and infant welfare, adoptions, holiday schemes, births, and child endowment and other maintenance payments.

However, some records in this series have restricted access for 100 years in order to protect personal privacy.
