Files – Chief Protector of Aborigines is a record series created by the office of the Chief Protector of Aborigines and held at the State Records Office of Western Australia. It contains correspondence received by the Chief Protector of Aborigines on a range of matters, including the management of and admission of children to missions and other institutions, births, deaths, and marriages, police matters, provision of relief and rationing, medical treatment, employment and movement of Aboriginal people, and communication on various topics with the Aborigines Protection Board. Many of the items in this series are titled with the names of the individuals or families that they relate to.
