This act has the full title “An Act to Amend The Children’s Services Act of 1965 in certain particulars” (Act no.17/1970). It makes a range of amendments to the Children’s Services Act 1965 (Act no.42/1965) that include, but are not limited to, the regulation of day care centres including a new definition of a day care centre, the criminal detention of children, a prohibition on tattooing of children, penalties for failing to comply with custody orders, the employment of children in the entertainment industry, medical care for infants on the request of the state, and the amendment of fines and child support payments from pounds to decimal currency (dollars). This amendment was repealed by Statute Law Revision Act 1995 (Act No.57) on 29 November 1995
