This act with the full title “An Act to amend the Child Protection Act 1999 to provide for interstate transfers of certain orders and proceedings, and for other purposes” (Act no.7/2000) had three key aims. Firstly to support child protection between Queensland and the rest of Australia and New Zealand. Secondly to implement recommendations from the Forde Inquiry and thirdly to clarify the Child Protection Act 1999. This act was repealed by Acts Interpretation Act 1945 (s.22C) on 21 April 2000.
