Aurala

Details

Aurala was a residential program for female wards of the state, run by Save the Children Fund, Queensland. It opened in January 1992 at Victoria Point, and moved location several times. Aurala closed in 2011.

According to an email from Save the Children from 2012, Aurala was established following the closure of Ben White House. Aurala was run according to the ‘youth worker model of alternative care’.
