The full title of the Adoption Amendment Act 2009 (No 2) (Act no. 36/2009) was ‘An Act to amend the Adoption Act 1993, and for other purposes’. Sections 1 and 2 of the Act commenced on 22 October 2009, the remainder on 22 April 2010. The 2009 Act was repealed by the Legislation Act 2001 (Section 89, Paragraph 1) on 23 April 2010.
