This is a copy of the front cover of a Salvation Army pamphlet, “Kalimna: lovely home”. It was published to accompany an article in the Architecture au magazine in 2018, about the demolition of the Kalimna buildings. The original pamphlet is from the Salvation Army Heritage Centre.

400 Fullarton Road Myrtle Bank

This is a photograph of 400 Fullarton Road, Myrtle Bank, which was previously known as Fullarton Cottage. It shows the front of a large 1920s brick house with multiple chimneys, a front porch, and leadlight windows. This photograph was taken by Walter & Irvine real estate agents in preparation for the sale of the property.

No. 80 Elgar Road – Our first family group home

This is an image of the first Family Group Home opened by Kildonan Homes for Children at their main site, 80 Elgar Road Burwood. It shows a small weatherboard cottage with a tin roof surrounded by lawn and small trees. This photograph was published in Kildonan’s annual report for either 1958 or 1959.
