The Saunders Family Group Home in Wynnum North was established by the Methodist Church in July 1973. It was situated behind the Margaret Marr Memorial Home for Boys, adjacent to Lahey Cottage Family Group Home. In 1977, control was transferred to the newly-created Uniting Church.
