The Maintenance (Widowed Mothers) Act 1941 (No. 4862) amended Section 37 and Section 44 of the Maintenance Act 1928. It was repealed by Children’s Welfare Act 1954 (No.5817) on 1 September 1955.
The Adoption of Children Act 1942 (No. 4903) was an amendment to the Adoption of Children Act 1928.
The Ministry of Health Act 1943 (No. 4988) had the long title ‘An Act relating to the Department of Health’. It was repealed by the Health Act 1956.
The Maintenance and Alimony (Imprisonment) Act 1935 (No. 4314) amended the Maintenance and the Marriage Acts 1928. Its long title is ‘An Act to amend the Law relating to the Enforcement of Certain Orders under the Maintenance Acts and the Marriage Acts and for other purposes.’
The Adoption of Children Act 1936 (No. 4381) amends the Adoption of Children Act 1928 (No. 3605). This amending act came into operation retrospectively on 1 June 1929, and was repealed by the Children’s Welfare Act 1954 (No. 5817).
The Maintenance (Widowed Mothers) Act 1937 (No. 4497) amended Part III. Of the Maintenance Act 1928. It commenced on 4 March 1938, and was repealed by the Children’s Welfare Act 1954 (No. 5817) on 1 September 1955.

The Mental Hygiene (Mode of Citation) Act 1943 (No. 4963) altered ‘the Mode of Citation of the Lunacy Acts and to make certain consequential provisions’. It changed the name of the Lunacy Act 1928 to Mental Hygiene Act 1928.
The Mental Hygiene Act 1933 (No. 4157) amended the Lunacy Act 1928. It came into operation on 14 February 1934.
The Hospitals and Charities Act 1900 (No. 1683) amends the Hospitals and Charities Act 1890. It commenced on 17 October 1900; the Principal Act was repealed by the Hospitals and Charities Act 1915.
