You probably noticed that we’ve been a little quiet lately, which is due to some technical issues that are now resolved. You’ll be hearing from us regularly from now. As usual we’d love to hear what interests you, the type of stories you prefer to read, what you like or don’t like, or anything you’d like us to cover. Just leave us a comment below, and thank you for your patience while we sorted things out.
Our previous blog post was about the Out of Home Care Records Toolkit https://www.findandconnect.gov.au/2020/07/out-of-home-care-records-toolkit/ that was developed to improve records access by providing knowledge and information to people who work with records that were created about people who spent their childhood in care.
This webinar includes how governments and regulators can make access easier, and Frank Golding provides a Care Leavers’ perspective on how important these records are to people who grew up out of home.
If you work with records, or could do with a better understanding of what these records mean to those they were created about, this webinar will give you a good background on the importance of easing access to those they were created about.
